Built in Zagreb, Croatia by a company founded in 2009 by Mate Rimac — who started by converting his BMW E30 to electric in his garage — the Nevera produces 1,914 bhp from four electric motors and does 0-100 km/h in 1.81 seconds. It has set more acceleration records than any other car in history. It is also, per multiple road tests, genuinely comfortable and driveable. This is what happens when a garage project meets venture capital and refuses to calm down.
